I have a Sony MiniDV camera beside the nightvision plus option. The dark vision is pious for close up shots but it wont focus real resourcefully on long range. I am looking for some brand of infrared light source to assist and amplify the IR source on my camera. Any design?

If you are handy beside a soldering iron you can buy IR LEDs and build your own IR light source cheaply. Sony also sell a slightly more powerful IR emitter accessory, although it's single a little better than the built-in IR LEDs.
