How do i copy DVD onto mini DV?
Answers: You need a camcorder (mini dv)with AV contained by.Don't expect av in on a cheap mini dv camcorder, they get only AV out.Play the dvd and using av cable you can coppy to mini dv.Or if your dvd get a DV(firewire) out and your mini dv(camcorder) got a dv in(but most camcorders get only dv out),you can coppy using DV(IEEE1394 firewire) cable.Any channel the picture quality will be reduced litte.Never you wont receive better quality than dvd.
what the point of doing this? as you know, you can play DVDs almost every where on earth when ever there is a DVD player available. but Mini Dv, you hold to play it through the camera which is unlikely to available as the DVD players.
if the reason for doing this is because you guess the video quality on mini DV is better, after this is not true!

You can any use a camcorder which has "DV in" or a special box that have both "DV in" and "DV out" but these boxes are very expensive. They're approaching a VCR for the MiniDV format.

You would need to convert the DVD to a single MPEG clip and after record this to the MiniDV device.
