I know it will hold around 250-300 pictures, but just curious if I can whip a *decent* amount of video with it if I don't want to cart my camcorder with me somewhere.
Answers: It would depend on the Canon Powershot model that you enjoy...for the SD870 IS, 3 minutes 57 seconds for a 512mb memory card - so of late under 8 minutes for a 1gb memory card. (in the best video mode 640x480 at 30fps):
