Home Videos?

How can I transfer my home video from my camcorder tapes to my computer and Cds?

Answers:    Hi,
Depending on the type of camera you own. If you have a fire cable connection on your camera you can direcly connect it to a firewire nouns on you computer and load your video through window movie maker or newly through any other video editing software (my favorit is power director). The soft ware when you are ready to burn will present you a choice as to what format to convert to cd or dvd. If you are doing cd most likely it will be Svideo which will not be upright in talent as dvd.
I hope this helps. check out hardware and software at www.dealinsecond.com. Also if you own a myspace ad me www.myspace.com/techguru1 if you want quick and free technical warning.
You'll need a firewire cable. And you PC should own Firewire connector. Take a picture of your PC's connectors (or film them) and whip it to a store. Tell them you want a firewire cable to connect your camera (show it) to the connector in the photo.
Then you're done. Just connect your camera to your PC, turn it on, break open movie maker and follow the smooth to use instructions.
You'll need profoundly of hard drive disk space.
MovieMaker is unbelievably limited though, I prefer Sony Vegas. You can download a trial from sony's page.
My Sony camcorder come with nouns cable that hooked to any USB port on the computer. My camera also came next to software I could use to transfer the video but it be easier to just use Windows Movie Maker to copy it.
