Best video camera below 300-400 dollars?
Also, a plus would be if it also took 4 + megapixel pictures, but not required.
It should be able to own the video uploaded to YouTube, and should be compatible with adjectives video editing programs. :)
Answers: Since you didn't say what types of things you would be tape, it is bit tough to recommend, but if just plain regular around the house stuff, I would suggest the Canon ZR800. It is a miniDV based camcorder beside a mic-in jack. You can do much better audio with an external mic than near the built-in mics. Also, as miniDV tape, it will provide the best available video talent, too. If you plan on taping rock band or loud noises, you will necessitate to add some sort of volume control (like the BeachTek XLR adapters - approaching the DXA-6vu - which means you will entail to use XLR mics).
MiniDV based camcorders use the DV port connected near a 4-pin to 6-pin firewire cable which connects to the firewire port on the computer. If you don't have a firewire port on your computer, they are usually straightforward (and cheap) to add. Macs enjoy had them for abundant years.
Imported DV can be edited with MovieMaker or iMovie - well. This is not necessarily the case near hard drive base or flash memory based. Their video can be edited, but the ability won't be as good and some of the editors enjoy issues with MPEG2 files. DVD camcorders are grim for editing video - and should be recalled and recycled and the money sent fund to whomever purchased them.
After you decide which brands you'll consider I suggest checking adjectives internet selling sites ...buy.com ....shop.com....Amazon.com you'll be amazed at the price differences for the same camera..
