Answers: There are two things which may change in other countries.
One is the voltage of the supply (and the frequency, but you can give the brush-off that).
The other is the type of connector.
Jamaica has a domestic supply of 110V, and they use U.S.A. connectors, so you can simply plug within any electrical items you have.
If you encounter different connectors afterwards you need an adapter plug, which go into the foreign receptacle and into which you then plug your own type of plug.
If the voltage is different, 240 for example, than you inevitability some way of varying it to 110V. There are two ways, either a transformer, which may be bought at various stores in the luggage department, or a converter which is an electronic device.
A transformer is adequate up to a power of 50, 60 or maybe 100 watts, after which they carry rather huge and quite unwieldy, not to say expensive.
For equipment which requirements more power, a converter is more appropriate. They will be cheaper than a higher power transformer and seriously lighter.
As long as you plug your charger into the correct, 110V, supply it will work fine.
Some chargers are designed to work on any voltage within the band of 90 to 240V without adjustment, but they still might stipulation the use of an adapter plug.
