On what settings should i own my camera on to shoot backlit places?

i have an sd1000 (canon) and i obligation to take pictures of band on stage and stuff

what are the best setting to do this?


Answers:    Concert photography is a bit tricky. If the subject is backlit then you should use the forced flash likelihood if you are near by.

Or try a sophisticated ISO speed and faster shutter speed to capture motion correctly.

I'll guess that you are far enough away that you can't use the flash or don't want to anyhow. Use the spot meter setting and try to avoid picking up any of the pale from behind the key subject.
Use the camera's Exposure Compensation (aka EV) setting to give +1 or +2 stops extra exposure. Your subject - the perform - will be correctly exposed but the background will be wash out.
