Is the cybershot dsc w55 a obedient camera for a novice?
Answers: In my opinion, there's two cameras that are worthwhile student cameras: Sony DSC-W55 and Casio EX-Z75.
Casio Pros:
Thinner
Bigger LCD
Uses SD Memory Cards
35 Best Shot Modes
Casio Cons:
No Viewfinder
Sony Pros:
Viewfinder
Sony Cons:
Takes Memory Sticks (More expensive than SD cards)
Only 4 or 5 best shot modes
Consider a Casio camera. Any camera can take great pictures if the owner know how to use it well.

So contained by conclusion, Sonys are good cameras, but you reimburse a lot for the Sony heading and there are better, cheaper cameras next to the same talent on the market.
It is a honest camera. The only down side is that Sony uses their own proprietary memory card: Pro Duo. Basically, what that money for you is that if you ever get another camera down the procession, you can't use the same memory card. Also, if you are ever going to use a card reader on your computer or bring your pictures to Walgreens or somewhere to return with them printed, you must bring the adapter that comes with teh camera and/or the one that comes next to the memory card. The memory card itself is too small to be read in a majority card read, so you have to put it into the adapter and later into the card reader. It is a good camera though. Its nice bc its relatively inexpensive AND it have a rechargeable battery and charger next to it. For that price range, it is going to be your best odds.
yeah..sony is a good brand...i owned a sony cybershot dsc-t100 and it's angelic except sony brands uses a different type of a memory card which cost more...
