About to purchase DSLR, what lenses should i start beside?
What lenses should i get to start next to keeping cost in mind. I call for lenses that arent too expensive, and will be good for saloon shows, races, temper, and family pics
Answers: The standard 18-35mm that come with my Canon is pretty polite and is versatile for profusely of shots.
I also have a Sigma lens, 70-300mm beside macro option and it's flawless too.
I think you'll be ok beside the lens that'll come with the camera for a bit. When you've gotten used to the camera, it'll be easier to pick a lens you really want/need because you'll know how to pinpoint exactly what's lacking contained by the lens you already have!

The 18-55 tackle lens will do for family and motor shows, but once you throw in race and nature you'll want a 70-300 zoom.
They come contained by all price ranges, and, as usual, you receive what you pay for.
For your purposes I'd dance for a basic model near IS (image stabilization).

Start past its sell-by date with the twin lens gear (18-55 & 70-300) if you can spend a bit more go for the enthusiast utensils which is usually one higher point wide selection lens like an 18-75mm for canon (which I strongly recommend) OR is cost is a big issue and you want an enthusiast lens you could turn for the Pentax with a sigma 18-200mm (they hold an image stabilized revision available) which is fantastic. The best thing going on for them is you dont have to keep hold of changing lenses over and the purse you carry around is much smaller!
