Any suggestions how or why my 50 mm Canon lense is stuck and cannot be removed from my 1st gen. Dig. Rebel?
Answers: The same thing not long happened to me. I put the Canon 50mm lens on my Rebel XTi and it would not come sour. I called Canon tech support and they told me that the lenses mount any red dot to red dot or white square to white square (guide markers) depending on they type of lens (either EF or EF-S). They said that it sounds like I mounted the lens using the red dot and white square guide results. They told me that the the lens will go on that opening but will not come off. My singular recourse is to send the camera to Canon for repair.
Is this the first time you hold attempted to remove the lens?
If so, you will have to refer to your almanac to see which button to push and which way to turn it.
If it is not the first time and you own just discovered the problem, DO NOT force anything. You may disrupt the camera or lens. Take it into a camera store and have them try to remove it. If they can't, later it will need to jump to a repair shop.
Are you pressing the lens release button?Hey you never know around here...
