My Sharp Hi8 video camera does not work?

It's more than a couple of years old, and it's not worth the fix.

Is near a way within which I would be able to view my videos minus having to take the camera fixed?

Answers:    You might be able to catch the videos transferred to DVD - transport them to a Photo/Video store and see if it can be done. ( I know we have adjectives the old super8 movies of my husband as a kid, transferred to VHS video.) The video store should be capable of tell you where on earth this can be done if they don't have the equipment to do so themselves.
You may know how to find a Hi8 player, but it may cost more than repairing your camera
