Good kind of digital cameras for a twelve year out-of-date?

i'm looking for a camera for a twelve year old. she have a sony dcs-l1 model that was a ripened 1. what are some good digital cameras below 200.00$?

ok. if you are looking the camera for a girl than the best model to go for is DSC-T70/P which is for $299.99...but if the 12 year is a boy i deduce that DSC-W80 is a cool gadget for just $199
