Answers: I would recommend looking at the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX30 ($215, Link 1). Here are some of its features
1. Yes, Li-Ion freestyle
2. Yes, has Mega O.I.S. (Panasonic's altered copy of IS)
3. Uses SD and SDHC so you can use larger (4GB) memory cards if you need to.
4. $215, conceivably $225 with shipping, so inwardly your budget.
It is a 7.2 megapixel, 3.6x optical zoom ultra compact point and shoot camera. It has a 2.5" LCD, and can transcript images/videos in 16:9 aspect ratio, which is designed for viewing on widescreen or HDTVs. The camera lens is also classified as a wide-angle lens, so you'll be capable of get more of the scene next to one shot compared to other cameras. Good for landscape pictures and group photos at party.
On the other cameras...with Kodak, you're getting what you discharge for. Build quality on the camera is not as worthy, and image level is questionable. Also, many cameras, resembling the one in the previous post, don't in actuality have optical figurine stabilization, they use digital. Here's the difference: optical is when actual motors within the lens detect and adjust movement (most effective), while digital in recent times bumps up the ISO rating in the camera, creating horribly coarse pictures. So, when reading specs, be sure that it is optical, not digital, image stabilization. This Panasonic uses optical.
Panasonic is with alacrity becoming a popular brand because they offer so frequent features for the price, and I think this would be a honest fit for you.
Buy Sony Cybershot. Pls do not go for Kodak..... coz I've see lot of queries concerning the repair centres of Kodak and terribly less of Sony(Ofcourse none). With this we can verbs that there are problems next to Kodak and not with Sony and BTW Sony is the chief officer..........
