Basketball Action(Canon S5IS) Taking pics?

Any ideas for taking pic w/a Canon S5IS? I'm trying to filch shots of my neph in playing basketball within H.S. I end up using program mode/iso800 for the simply settings that works. Av and Tv comes out blurred. That setting comes out grainy :( Any accepted wisdom would b much appreciated. Here is a link to a few pics I hold

Answers:    Obviously, the shutter speed is too slow. If you have a "sports" mode on your camera try using that. Also, you can use Tv (shutter priorty) and shift to the fastest speed you can with the available pale. If you are close enough to the goings-on flash would help but, usually spectators can't capture that close except maybe for sideline behaviour.
they're not bad, simply a bit blurry and the noise from the big ISO. I would have reduced the ISO to 100, and thicken the aperture to the lowest F stop to allow the most light to come contained by the lens. change the encyclopaedia focus to infinity, and a very speedy shutter speed. Or you could have in recent times switched to a programmed scene like Action.
