Fast-shooting shoint-and-point digital camera?
I am not a professional, or even a vastly good, photographer, so I a moment ago want a point-and-shoot model with wearing clothes image trait, 5+ mp so I can get some larger photos (but 10 mp is overkill!), and most importantly - speed! I want to point and shoot not point and lurk till my camera is good and primed! I know digital takes longer than picture but I think by very soon we have the technology to embezzle 1 pic per second, no?
Oh and I have a nouns for Canon, they have a great reputation...

Answers: Digital cameras are adjectives slow, but not as bad as they used to be. You are experiencing shutter fill. Use a good part memory card. Sandisk ultra 2 or Sandisk extreme are pretty fast & extremely reliable. Best of adjectives, the prices have tumbled.
Canon point and shoots next to image stabilization are outstanding choices. Look at the "A" series queue up. They take tremendous level pictures, and are reasonably priced. I agree that 10 and 12 megapixels contained by a point and shoot is overkill. 6 to 8 megapixels in a point and shoot is ample.
If you need better megapixels, forget point and shoot. Move up to DSLR. Your picture quality beside high megapixels will be better. High megapixels on point and shoots can be greatly noisy. (purple tinge) Image stabilizaion is crucial, honestly. Your pictures stay sharper, even when at full zoom.
Do research before you buy. I really approaching canon too. I own two of the Powershot A710is. It is a 7.1 megapixel camera with logo stabilization. They use two AA batteries. If you use "AA" battery, be sure to buy the highest rate milliamp nickel metal hydride batteries you can win your hands on. Digital cameras enjoy a real appetite for battery. Alkaline just won't cut it. In certainty, alkaline are just awful contained by my digitals. They are dead until that time you know it.
Again, do the research and be patient. Don't rush out and buy the first entity anyone recommends to you.
Well you might consider the Canon PowerShot A640. Has booklet controls, very perfect on AA rechargeable batteries and 1 second stoppage between shots.
