What is the diffrence between the nikon d40 and the nikon d40x?
Answers: As stated above, 6mp vs 10mp, and that's just about it.

The difference within price will get you another lens and 6mp can distribute you excellent images.

Just choose subjects that interest you surrounded by the "now showing" subject box to compare results from both cameras.
There is completely little difference at all. The biggest difference is that the D40x is 10mp and the D40 is only 6.
