A camera cross-examine?

hello, i have a a520 polaroid digital camera. i am not exceedingly happy around it and one of my problems is that it when it takes a picture it flashes two enormously bright flashes. is there any channel either on the camera or some crazy method so it doesn't shoot out two flashes?
-Please HELP!

Answers:    Yep...probably set to Red Eye Reduction...
1. Set the camera to Still Image mode.
2. Pressing the Flash button (button above OK)cycles through the flash modes.
Modes....Flash Off/Auto Flash/Red-eye Reduction/Flash Always....
The symbol should change surrounded by the top left corner....
The first flash is probably a red-eye fall flash, or it could be a focus assist.

Look in the User Manual and see if you can turn those features past its sell-by date.

HTH.
Yeah im pretty sure i have like peas in a pod camera all you do is turn your camera on and within is a big circle and a little circle inside of it. theres a moment or two arrow that goes down and its and if you press it it change the flash. There is a couple different types. The one with the down arrow near a circle around it turns the flash off.
hope i help!!
