How long does a lithium rechargerable camera mobile standard ending earlier replacement?
Answers: Modern Lithium Poly cells "last" for around 300-500 charges. But "last" is defined to be the point at which a full charge only hits 80% of the resourceful charge. So it may be even a bit longer before you spot it.
Older Li-ion cells truly handle more charges, I don`t know as many as 1,000 full charge-discharge cycles. But they also age independently of the use, dropping between 5% and 20% of total size every year, depending on how they're kept (temperatures, charged or discharged, etc).
End of life/failure is really more of a judgment call upon than a specific event, since, aside from drastic failure (damage or defect), they simply get progressively worse. But it happen slow enough you may not become aware of, unless you're comparing an older cell against a tentative one. If you start to notice the mobile just seem to die sooner than it once did, it's probably about time to suggest about a replacement.
One item to watch... Li-ion and Li-poly cell can be damaged by draining them too far. What happen is that a secondary battery-operated more or less forms contained by the contact area of the cell and starts to take out the contact. So while you really want to fully discharge NiCAD and NiMh cells for the best running, you shouldn't let a Lithium cell die completely. Most Li powered devices are smart plenty to prevent this level of discharge, but especially if it's an expensive battery, it doesn't hurt to study out for it.
no way really, lithium ions final for an incredibly long time, 5 years or more probably. I'd be very surprised to hold to replace a 3 year old one.
