Any recommended fisheye lens for a canon 30d. is the sigma 15mm f2.8 lens pious for 30d?
Answers: As Dr. Sam said the 15mm probably isn't wide plenty for your 1.6 crop camera, but an 8mm is.
The Sigma is a nice lens but $700 is a lot for such a individuality lens. What you can get for something like half the price is the Peleng 8mm. It's a guide everything lens and a lot of fun to use. I purchased one past its sell-by date ebay a couple of years ago. It's sharpness and contrast are good and build ability is excellent.
You would think human being a manual focus lens it would be difficult to use, but it's not. The nice point about such a huge view is the focal point is huge. You can almost set the focus to Infinity and never enjoy to worry more or less it.
I don't have any personal shots handy to show you but I've related a website with some sample, and an ebay auction page with a couple more.
I do not know this from experience near that lens, but I don't think you will take a fisheye view. With a 1.6X crop factor, it's the equivalent of a 24 mm lens - merely a "super wide-ranging angle" lens.
B&H says: "Since most Digital SLR cameras use a smaller carving sensor size (APS-C) than 35mm film cameras, 180 level angle-of-view can not be obtained beside Digital SLR cameras. With those cameras only the center slice of the frame is used, therefore, divergent distortion will be very small."
