What loving of lens should i use for DSLR camera?
Now, for the mean time i merely want to purchase and use a single lens since its very costly..so what brand of lens can you recommend to use that i can use it in any situation from huge angle to portrait..i mean all-around lens. not so much interested to a vastly long-range/telescopic lens (since it very costly.right?).. conventional long range will do..
pls warning..
thanks
Answers: If you run Nikon, get their 18-70 f3.5-4.5.
It's a great lens and it'll do what you want.
Can't comment on Sony as I don't own one, but I'll bet they have a similar lens.
For more info walk over to www.photozone.de and read their excellent lens tests.
Hope this help.
make sure you procure a lens that fits your camera. a canon lens will not fit a nikon camera, and vise versa.
any kind of lens that starts surrounded by the 18mm range and go up to 55mm or 110mm
85mm is the standard for portraits and 18mm will give you great far-reaching angle.
Dont worry give or take a few any special series or high finish lens. you can find a good "pace around" (thats what they are called and what you are looking for) lens for more or less $300 or less. Dont spend any more because it will be a leftovers.
I use a 24-85mm f/2.8 zoom on my D200 for nearly 90% of my work.
All my landscape work is done next to a 12-24mm lens
