Under expose/over expose?

im going to try to do an HDR shot. how do i over expose and underexpose? with a nikon d40

Answers:    You NEVER silver the aperture in an HDR shot, that leaves you beside a very unusual shot. If you know how to use Manual mode, find an aperture and ISO value you want, frame the logo and put it on a tripod. Find out what their suggested exposure is for that AV (Let's say 1/500) and shoot 3 or 5 shots, respectively one stop apart.
You put the cameras (that is on a tripod) setting on manual. Using the cameras meter, help yourself to on shot at the indicated settings.

Lets say to be precise 1/250 @f/11. Then either transmutation the shutter speed up and down one stop or leave the shutter alone and adjust the aperture down to f/16 and bear another shot at f/8.

That is it. You will have the three exposures you necessitate to produce the HDR image. I will assume you enjoy either Photoshop CS2 or CS3 or an actual program a short time ago for producing HDR photos
