Why does my Sony camera enunciate that I can't delete photos on the camera?

It keeps on recounting me that the photos are read-only and I have read the booklet from backbone to front to find out why it is read-only and how to change it. I enjoy two other Sony cameras and don't have this problem.

Answers:    If it take a SD card, take it out and nearby should be a small switch on the side that you can move. I had like problem and it turned out that the card was switched to read-only.
Maybe because the photos are surrounded by use.
