What would be a accurate digital camera for me to use?

I'm shopping around for a new digital camera. Right very soon I have a Fujifilm Finepix, or something along those lines. I cannot stand it. The focus is awful, I can't adjust the settings, and it's awkward to hold.

I'm looking for a clad quality camera, something that will end me a while and will let me adjust it so that my pictures come out how I'd resembling them to.

I don't know much about cameras, and I don't enjoy a whole heck of closely of money to spend, but I know that I do need a pious camera.

And Canon has be good to me so far.

(I'm not against buying used, because my budget isn't up to buying a 500$ camera.)

Any suggestions?
