Answers:    Depends on your definition of appropriate - Holgas, by definition, are plastic pieces of junk that produce a completely specific type of picture, a very specific look. They're not specially well-built, suffer from flimsy leaks and can be totally unpredictable - and that's why populace love them, and exactly why some professionals use them.

If you're looking to get a Holga, look elsewhere. $70 is so beyond overpriced, it's not even funny - no event how many frills they throw in near the body. Ignore the Lomography website, as well; most of those cameras can be found elsewhere for much smaller amount.
