Boy, you approaching dealing with the close call in camera competence. I had to look at things closer on the features, option, and price to come up with an answer. I resembling the prices on Cannon better for what is offered, and I prefer less plastic surrounded by my camera. Plastic means easier to break, or dent and not as durable.The lighter weight, be a foil for and feel of Cannon other impressed me. Another example would be the design of precision tightness of buttons to keep out elements while using them. The camera leaves smaller amount space open between the functions of the buttons and it looks similar to that was the overall design purpose. I don't blanket adjectives camera models, because in the difficult end (camera) some features are not necessity. Better finances I like what is offered for the money. Cannon to me basically seemed to fit better......
