Answers: hmm okay first step take it into your Local sony store, they will be the ones who can transport it out for service if required (which it probably is) it could just be something beside the gears , unless of course you dropped the item. if your warranty is still in effect and they deem it physical defacement your warranty is void and you hafto pay cheque for them to fix it and that could be pricey but they wont fix it without your travel ahead. if your out of warranty your paying for everything anyways so yeah and theres not much you can do yourself now, because by the sounds of it you've messed near the camera inside now and it wont power... sorry to be the bearer of discouraging news, but thats how it is haha and a DSCW100 doesnt pocket rechargeable batteries it comes next to a battery pack :S unless you hold a different camera than what you think it is but its impossible to tell apart story in any skin no matter what the camera is.
