How can I rest delete photos from my Canon IXUS 50 digital camera?

My wife transferred all our holiday photos and video footage, from our Canon Ixus 50 onto the computer. All the photos be left on the camera, but adjectives the video footage disappeared. Then an even worse thing happen. Our computers hard drive totally died out, beforehand she managed to put the video footage onto compact disc. Now we have no video at all. I enjoy tried the camera to see if there is an internal memory, but cannot find any.
Is here any possible way that I can rest these video footages from the SD card? We are now sure that our computers tough drive has finally walk off the stage, so, our simply hope lies with the camera and SD card.
We would really appreciate some warning.

good luck... oh DO NOT embezzle any more pictures...otherwise it will "really" delete the pictures or videos... from the sd card
