Help on digital cameras?

what is a AC Adapter...and wht does it do for digital cameras?

Answers:    An AC adapter will let you use your camera plugged into an electrical outlet instead of using your camera battery. The most practical use of this feature is if you download the pictures from your camera directly into your computer, instead of using a card reader attached or built within to your computer. Downloading directly from your camera is the biggest drain you will ever put on your camera batteries. Using the AC adapter instead of the camera battery will greatly increase your camera battery enthusiasm.
It is can be used in a studio situation when the camera is on a tripod and used for shooting "table tops". Because the camera/AC adapter have to be plugged in to work, using it when shooting models is problematic ... contained by the field, impossible
