Digital cameras, Sony and Canon?

I am debating between the Canon SD870is and the Sony DSC-
T100? For image talent, which one is better?

Answers:    No such thing as "better," however, both cameras be release at the same time this year. Both own 8 megapixel CCD sensors. The Canon SD870 IS is lighter and has a faster lens f2.8 versus f3.5 for the Sony. Maximum shutter speed for the Canon is 1/1600 while the Sony is 1/1000. Closer focusing distance beside the Canon in both macro and common modes. Sony has a longer telephoto lens 175mm versus 105mm for the Canon. However, Canon sports a wider angle lens 28mm versus 35mm for the Sony. The Canon SD870 IS have a street price of $382 US versus $362 US for the Sony. If it were my decree -- go for the Canon -- but it really is a close toss up.
