How do you format a memory card on a digital camera?

Anyone know? I have an A550 Canon Digital Camera and entail to format the memory card.


Answers:    For what it's worth, on my Nikon D200, I can go to the set up menu and format is my first submenu choice.

I would suggest introductory the shooting menu on you A550 and see if there is a format choice.

Just poke around in the menu. It shouldn't be not easy to find a category involving your memory card. then find something that say format.
