i have a canon digital camera - canon SD 600. here is a white usb cord that connects to yoru computer and it will upload pics. for the last few years it have connected. the camera is not OLD. it works perfectly fine except hta tnow whenever i connect it to the laptop it doesn't work. and when i plug it surrounded by to other deskstops (my friends) it works. something is wrong with my laptop right? i own a dell inspiroon 6400. maybe i should uninstall the program? what shuold i do? i don't want to lose any of my pictures. =/ assistance please! if you do help me i will supply you 10 points. anything even though i am a tad bit bribing you ^_^
Answers: Reinstall the software. That might fix the problem. Alternatively, pull out the SD card and plug it into a card reader. You can grasp them for less than $10.

Try to un - instill the usb drivers and later restart the computer and then try to plug it rear legs in.

Have you plugged anything else within your laptop USB port to see if it's a USB problem ?
You might want to invest in a card reader.
