I'm looking to purchase a canon 70-200mm F4 non-IS w/1.4x tele extender?

I do mostly outdoor photography, with some portrit shots as okay. Will I see a degrade contained by image feature using the 1.4x tele extender? My camera is a 40d.


Answers:    Maybe a little on the extreme edges of the representation, but mostly you will loose a stop of light. Tele-extenders "eat" pallid, so your f/4 will become a t/5.6 (t is for light transmittance).
