What would you articulate is the best camera?
Answers: It's a matter of personal nouns; however, two of the field leaders contained by digital SLR and film are Canon and Olympus. Back within the day, I used an Olympus SLR picture camera. Olympus optics are second to none. I've owned a variety of Olympus cameras both digital and motion picture, and I've loved them all--I'm clearly biased.
I've never owned a Canon, but people who enjoy them swear by them.
Biased or not, one thing I would clearly focus on is a manufacturer who have been contained by the camera business longer than the digital era. Example: I'm also a huge fan of HP products--all of my printers and scanners hold been HP. I tried an HP digital camera (because it be cheap) and I was unimpressed.
Kodak, Fuji, Canon, Olympus, and others own been contained by the camera business for a long time. Olympus and Canon both jumped on the digital bandwagon with alacrity and both make superior products.
The other consideration is what type of photography do you (or they) plan to do? SLR's are big and unwieldy. They give somebody a lift the best pictures, too. Good ones are also $$$$. Then you have pseudo-SLR's (this is what I own). They appropriate very suitable to excellent pictures and allow a number of option for the user such as controlling aperature and shutter speed. Downside: no interchangeable lenses. Using manual features can be tricky. Cost $$$. Finally, you own point and shoots. Being the Olympus fan that I am, I bought my wife an Olympus point and shoot. Fully automatic next to few manual features. Benefits: jammy to carry anywhere, take very apt pictures. Downside: can't adjust much; sometimes impossible to get a pious picture. Price: $$. In this category, you could probably spend less on a Kodak or a Fuji and return with the same results. Benefit: price-$.
Hope this help!
