each are around one and the same price, megapixels, and i looked at some of the pictures each took and theyre both really nice.

Answers: I hold the Powershot and it's great! You can take video and pictures that have great point, plus they do look really nice. Just don't forget the memory card, or the camera will not be of much use. Have Fun with your camera, which ever one you choose!!

All the specs are in that .. if you already have a camera you will want to find a latest one that will use your memory cards.
You will note that the Canon uses the industry standard SD memory cards and the Sony a propiratery Memory Stick memory card.
Once you opt, buy a couple of 1GB memory cards (less than $15 each this chronological weekend on sale)
Hard to compare Sony and Canon. Canon makes a fine splash of cameras. Sony makes a hybrid which uses an oddity flash card (called a memory stick). The Canon will take outstanding pictures when handle correctly. The Sony may do as well, but it should cost smaller number. If it is not a bargain price compared to the Canon, it is loving of like buying a Ford motor for the price of a Ferrari... just doesn't cause sense!
