Percentage of camera users by camera company?
For example:
How several people use Nikon, Canon, Sony, etc.
World wide open or U.S. is okay. links okay.
I would like to know to know how to engage surrounded by 'factual' discussions.
thanks
Answers: anthony's right. I enjoy Nikons, Fujis, HP's, Canons, and Casios at home. Currently Nikons are 98% of what I use, but statistically, I've bought all of the above.
Another factor to consider, for your completely good put somebody through the mill, is which type of camera? In point & shoot cameras, one company may lead. In Advanced zoom cameras, you could find another person in charge. In DSLR (digital single-lens reflex) you might find 3 leaders. One in amateur DSLR sale, another in prosumer models, and a third surrounded by the lofty pro lines.
Here's one statistical survey about cameras, but it with the sole purpose covers satisfaction, not gross sale.

Here's a long, but very readable word article about a Nikon word conference. If you scroll down about 1/4 of the course, you'll find a chart and some stats about Nikon ascendant in Japan & surrounded by the US in DSLR unit sold, but Canon leading contained by dollar sales.

It's tough to get hold of accurate statistics for several reasons. First of adjectives, you can understand the problem near counting owners of multiple brands. Also if people within my neighborhood buy twice as many of brand A camera as brand B, but I use brand B weekly and they use their camera solitary monthly... how do you count that?
Sorry for the confusion, but I wanted your info to be accurate.
I don't know of any such statistics on ownership, but I hold seen them on sale of cameras. I think ownership statistics would be worthless anyway: for example, I enjoy and use cameras from Pentax, Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm, Kodak, etc. So how would I fit into any camera user category?
Generally for sales, Canon and Nikon are at the top. Lately, Nikon have been doing better than Canon, gratitude to lower priced cameras that don't scrimp on the features.
Percentage of camera usage may not be of any use for those attempting to purchase their first DSLR.
For instance, while I still own two Leica's, a Sinar and a Calumet view camera the most cameras I own are Nikon's ... six SLR's and three DSLR's. And I own two Nikon Coolpix cameras I use like way I used to use Polaroid cameras ten years ago. Instant photos for those who relieve me while on assignment in foreign countries.
This is not what you asked, but it shows the interest stratum in different brands. One might presume that this correlates near purchases made, but it might also reflect interest within new releases. Look at the SECOND chart.
