Does the Olympus E510 give optical zoom?

Answers:    No, the Digital SLRs do not have any optical or digital zoom settings. The "zoom" is determined by selecting the appropriate lens depending on whether you want wide angle, "normal" or telephoto equivalent to a 35mm camera. Effective focal length for the Olympus 4/3 systems are 2x what is on the lens, i.e. a 50mm digital 4/3 system lens is the equivalent of a 100mm (short telephoto) lens for a 35mm system.
If you put a zoom lens on it.
