I own a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ7 and my flash stopped working. What happen?

I've had my camera for going on for a year and a half presently and the flash just stopped working. I be taking a picture with flash and I feel something weird contained by the camera, almost like I feel something "grinding" inside and the flash didn't go sour, so I tried again and it worked that time, but then it completely stopped working after that.

What might own happened?

Can I fix this myself?

If not, where on earth can I get something similar to that fixed?

Answers:    i would not try and fix it yourself. If it's been a year and a partially, it might be out of warranty. Take it to a camera shop and have it serviced. Just know that it might be worth more than the camera.
