Is this a appropriate camera?
I like the specs of Olympus one have dual layer IS, 20X optical zoom, rare ! full manual control, also it have video record which dslr don't have of course. will it produce better figurine? should sell my d40x and go and get that?
Answers: its ok but i personally recommend Nikon because Nikon is the best SLR produced most of the others are amateurs
The individual produces the picture, not the camera, so it's irrelevant what camera you use..I'vr seen some winner using a box camera.

Learn lighting, composition, special effects, posing tec., thats the course to go. All the best.
Isn't the sensor contained by the Nikon nearly 4 times bigger?The Nikon also has Raw....If I already have the D40X I don't think I'd be shifting to the Olympus although it looks a good camera,but it's single a Long Zoom compared to an SLR..But if you really want to record video and procure some cash vertebrae...
