Can u given name me a SLR style camera?
Answers: I'll add a new handicap that slr style cameras have. Every one of them have some level of shutterlag, and if you've search this forum, you'll see plenty of complaints.
I have a Fuji S3000 slr-like digital camera. It sports a nice optical zoom (the one and only kind to consider) and a reasonable-for-the-time resolution of 3mp. Along next to a great slr type grip, it handles wonderfully and take very righteous photos. BUT, I discovered that it's not for any photos of action. When I tried it as a backup at my first WNBA spectator sport, (I was shooting Nikon 35mm at the time) I found virtually every shot have missed the action. There be an unbearable interval between the click and the capture. That week, I go out and bought my first DSLR, a Nikon D70 that I still use today.
Look at the Nikon D40. It's a reasonable size DSLR at a great price. (how in the order of $489?)
