I bought a Canon Rebelxs beside no lens, I own the Pentax k1000 lens. Do they work on the Canon Camera, Thanks,

The Canon Rebel uses EF lens, my Pentax uses SMC lens, I just will approaching to know if they are compatible, or do I have to buy an EF Lens, Thanks, Carlos.

Answers:    No, if you enjoy a Canon, you need to procure an EOS EF lens for it. The Pentax K-AF mount or K-mount lenses only fit on cameras that adopt that mount. SMC stands for super multi-coated, referring to the coating on the lens.
You have to buy Canon lenses. Any that be designed for EOS cameras will work.

You may find taking a class in photography will be a big support. I am sure you have other question that will be answered in of late one semester of basic photography.
No they're not compatible.
