My bf dropped my Canon A560 this weekend at the coast...and it said lens error...?

and it wouldn't go spinal column in...so we have to buy another one at Wal-Mart because we thought it was broken...I don't know what happen, he barely dropped the camera on the dirt so does anyone know what the problem could be?

Answers:    probably some glimmer of the sand got into the lens - you could check to a service center on how much would it cost to fix it but I'm not sure it would be cheaper than buying a clean one.
most likely sand get into the mechanism...they are pretty easily upset and one grain of sand can preserve a gear...other possibility is that the lens got out of alignment by jump a cog in the gear and very soon isn't straight so it won't move.
The problem is your boyfriend is clumsy; don't let him take near your clean one, lol!
One more reason why your camera should be secured around your d¨Ścolletage with a obedient strap when its not in your camera pack.

Enjoy your new camera. Your frail one is now a paperweight.
