Which camera is better canon advanced or digital slr?

i need relief buying a camera i want my pictures to come out professionaly like the ones you see within magazines and stuff. clear, crisp colors and every detail capture, also which mega pixels are the best for crystal clear imagery? is anything above 7.0 MP accurate? thnks!

Answers:    the only channel you will ever get that characteristic is with an SLR! Get a Nikon or Canon they hold the best lenses and realize you will be spending more money on the lenses than the body of the camera. Best buy is where I buy electronics because they price contest for fourteen days after your purchase if you want to check out the competition after you buy. Hope this helps.
Most of those descriptions you see in the big magazine are still shot using film.

Deadline shooting (like newpaper, some magazine, etc) use most of the digital images

Right very soon, except for sports, the smallest sensor size is about 23.6 x 15.8 mm and have a pixel count of at least 10MP.

The socalled Canon Advanced digital sensors are around 5.7 x 4.3mm at 7MP to 8MP

You can see the problem.
also the lens have alot to do with the sharpness you want to undertake. a dslr would be the way to progress. dont get cought up surrounded by the more megapixels=better camera. higher MP scheme you can print garage size images. anything from 6-8mp you can still receive poster size w/o quality loss.
