Any opinion on the D40x DSLR Nikon camera?

The lens you obligation for macro is one of Nikons macro lenses 60mm or 105mm
The landscape lens is the 12-24mm.

Its a right camera.
However, I urge you to at least thieve a look at the Sony A100. The A100 is 10mp, has Super SteadyShot built surrounded by the camera body, has dust removal for the sensor and you can use every Minolta Maxxum AF lens made since 1985. It also uses most of the accoutrements for the Konica-Minolta D5 & D7 DSLR cameras since the A100 is really a Konica-Minolta anyway. (Konica-Minolta quit the camera business in 2006 and Sony bought their DSLR line).
IMO the A100 simply offer more features and benefits than its comparably priced competition. Read a couple of reviews and decide for yourself.
The Nikon D40x should be an excellent camera for someone resembling yourself with a growing interest.

I've used an elder model, the Nikon D50 and found it to be versatile beside awesome handling. One of my brothers recently added a D40 to his camera pod and chooses it over his D70 for most shoots.
Here are some shots posted on the web taken next to a D40x.

A good step up would be the Nikon D80, which autofocuses beside more lenses and has a slightlyly larger body.

I hope this is helpful.
yeah it's pious for macro shot but u must have macro lense to do so and for moral fibre and landscape u can use 18-55mm or 18-135 mm lense to do so. it's 9 for the rate.
