Olympus X-785 shutter speed?

Answers:    A word of circumspection. ACE has given some excellent links to resources for Minolta lenses. However, the moniker Rokkor has NO SPECIFIC RELATIONSHIP to the SRT rank of camera models. Rokkor is the designation Minolta used to identify any lens manufactured by Minolta (They originally built cameras that used lenses manufactured by other German and Japanese companies). This type of designation was, and still is, a adjectives practice in the optical industry, Minolta used Rokkor, Nikon uses Nikor, Pentax uses Takumar, Olympus uses Zuiko, etc. to identify the lenses they manufactured regardless of the camera brand.

In appendix, there be many third group lens manufacturers who made lenses to fit the SRT101 and its cousins. Soligor, Tamron and Vivitar be some of the leading brands within the late 60's through the 70's which be the heyday of the SRT line of cameras. What you inevitability to look for are lenses with the SR mount (also commonly called SRT). Most lenses whether made by Minolta or a third carnival designed for the SRT models had an MC designation, which intended Meter Coupled, engraved on the lens to identify them as fully compatible with adjectives the SRT models. The MD and X designations were used by Minolta for latter models in their smudge of products that maintained towards the back compatibility to the SRT cameras.

Also, the Celtic line of lenses be manufactured by or under the control of Minolta as a smaller quantity expensive group of lenses that met Minolta's quality standards.

Minolta also manufactured Rokkor lenses beneath license to Leica for the Minolta CLE camera which uses the Leica bayonet mount. These were also made to fit Leica rangefinder cameras. These lenses WILL NOT FIT the SRT models and recurrently command a substantially higher price than comparable lenses from other manufacturer.

MOST lenses prior to those for the SRT, but designed for the SR mount will function with the SRT models but will be more difficult to operate because they will not lift advantage of the Meter Coupling function and may hold some operational limitations as in good health.

HTH, Good luck. Email if you have question about a specific lens or compatibility question.

Camera get damp and presently it wont turn on??

Well fhotoace has to be sure given you some excellent resources.

There are 4 lenses I recommend for your camera:

MC ROKKOR-X 50mm f1.4

MC (or MD) ROKKOR-X 24mm f2.8 wide angle

MD 35-70mm f3.5 zoom

MD 70-210 f4 zoom

With those 4 lenses you can cover nearly any photographic opportunity.

If you'd similar to to do macro photography then the MD 100mm f4 macro would be an excellent choice.

Minolta offered 2 teleconverters. The MD 300S for lenses smaller amount than 300mm and the MD 300L for lenses 300mm and longer. Both are 2X so your 70-210 would become a 140-420.

How much can I trade surrounded by a Sony Cybershot T-20 8.1 megapixel for?

You need to look for Minolta MC or MD lenses, which are also call Minolta Rokkor lenses.

You will find plenty of them on eBay for example--just type in Minolta MC or Minolta MD or Rokkor and you'll find them.

If you way of walking into a camera store with used lenses, only make sure you return with Minolta manual focus lenses, which are the MD or MC lenses or Rokkor lenses above.
