Xbox 360 mic keeps indicating I'm talking when I'm not.?
Is there a solution for it? I want to be able to use it. Maybe cover the speaker so it doesn't detect every little sound? Anything would be helpful.
Answers:
Yeah I have had this happen to me before, but it was usually my fault for breathing in it..
Dose this happen all the time?
If it dosent it may be you because some people get excited while they are playing and are breathing more heavy then they usually do.
It happens.
But if this happens all the time.
Then send it into Microsoft or who ever makes your head set,and write a note explaning the problem...put it in a box and ship it...it will be best if you call/email the company first, so they can help you.
Good luck
FIRST THING TO TRY: unplug the headset then plug it back in, this for whatever reason seems to cure the bugs. But it can also mean the mic is on the way out. Over the years with xbox live headsets I have noticed that they work for a few months maybe a year then they start doing stuff like you are talking about then eventually they just stop. I have had several (both original and 360) mics that have broken. You may want to try restarting the console or using the mute,
Best of luck!
