What is the difference between an Xbox and an Xbox 360?
If you have an xbox, is it worth wasting the money to get an Xbox 360?
Answers:
There's a big difference from the original Xbox and the latest Xbox 360. The original Xbox is the first gaming system that Microsoft debuted it has many features that the Xbox 360 obtain. But the XBOX 360 is the newest system from Microsoft I'd say it's a pretty impressive system but the price on it is a little expensive and the game are also (Price Range: System: 299.99 - 399.99 Games: 49.99 - 59.99). But if you really want to experience a very well graphical system buy it even though the price is really steep. If you like high quality games I sat it's worth it but if you just want to enjoy a fun gaming system without all the high tech buy the original Xbox.

THE COST!!!
NO WAIT ABOUT A YEAR AND THE PRICE WILL DROP TO NEARLY HALF!!! IT ALWAYS DOES.
Xbox 360 is the newer model of Xbox.
$200.00
X box 360 is more advanced and has better pictures and games. Also: The Xbox 360 gamepad design is similar to the Type-S gamepad from the original Xbox. Unlike the Type-S, the Xbox 360 gamepad features only two analog (pressure sensitive) buttons - the left and right triggers. Also the black and white buttons have been replaced with the right and left bumpers and an Xbox Guide button has been added to the center. Wired gamepads feature a nine foot (2.74 m) long cord with a break-away feature. They can be used with any USB and Windows equipped computer. Wireless gamepads have a range of about 30 feet (~9 m) and use either two AA batteries or a NiMH rechargeable battery pack. When a gamepad is plugged in, or - in the case of wireless gamepads - turned on, a quadrant of the LED "Ring of Light" around the power button is lit up, indicating connection and ordering (1st player corresponds to the upper-left quadrant, 2nd player to upper-right, etc.). The "Ring of Light" also adorns the Xbox Guide button; it will flash in case of a low battery warning on the wireless gamepad.
As a first for console controllers, the wired version can be used as a PC gamepad out of the box without the use of any converters. Regardless of the green XBox 360 packaging or the red PC packaging, it is the same controller either way. The downside is that the XBox Guide button is currently inoperable, but future driver updates are excepted to support it, and the wireless controller is said to be supported too by USB plugin, but there is no word on a release date for that accessory.
an xbox only plays xbox games, while an xbox 360 plays xbox and xbox 360 games.
nothing cept 360 has slightly better graphics and ur friends might think ur cool if u get one. but besides that the only difference is the humongous cost!!!
the360 is like the new sky HD system
360 degrees. well the cost and the features are the difference
There is a huge difference in cost of gaming system, games, and accessories. The difference in performance, graphics, etc., isn't worth the cost in my eyes.
Better processor and video lot better gpx on games.
I have a modded xbox and will soon be getting a 360 because you can use a dvd rom firmware hack to play backed up games
(for playing games you legally own of course) ;)
And the 360 does not have backwards capabilities for every original xbox game as someone stated above me. Only a select few so far.
yeah, if you are a hardcore gamer, fork out the cash, better graphics, longer games, bigger memory etc, but whatever
yes if u want better graphics.
Depends on a lot of things. Xbox 360 has much better graphics and all of the newer games will be out for just Xbox 360. If you do not own one you wont be able to play the newer games. Of course if you own one you can play Xbox 360 and Xbox games on it as it is backwards compatible.
The difference is price. About 150 for an Xbox and about 300 for a bare bones Xbox 360 system (no memory or extras)
ABOUT $200.00
Seriously ... The 360 is the model that you can go online with other players.
Check out a gaming site. It supposedly has much better graphics but when I tried it at Best Buy I wouldn't waste my cash. HDTV is supposed to enhance the graphics of the system. It also has a built in hard drive so you don't need a memory card. If you are considering buying it, keep in mind that the next Halo is coming out for the system.
xbox360 cost more then the xbox and is a much better computer running at 3.2 ghz rather then a 333 mhz of the ps1..... yeah i got an xbox360 it sucked i took it bak to the shop they wouldnt give me my money back but many people really love them i think its best to wait for the PS3 (playstation 3)
kinda sorta not really. While the xbox 360 is new and shiny and has numbers at the end of it, theres no real games to back it up. With the original xbox you had Halo but with the 360 all you get is crappy games like Kameo.
It is better to wait and let the prices drop.
