Answers: The Playstation 3 have just be out a little over a year. The Playstation 4 wont be out for several more years.
The Playstation 3 could confidently be out on the market for another 6 years beforehand a Playstation 4 would even be considered, but most likely, Sony will release their different console after Microsoft releases their next console.
With the newer consoles have so much technology, I think that it would be Stupid for Sony to release another Playstation console until that time 2011. But this year is the perfect year to buy a Playstation 3 because some especially good exclusives are coming out.
The spanking new xbox will be out before the PS4. The PS3 will be out for at least possible another 7 years.

i googled this a few weeks ago and ps4 will not be coming out for 10 years(2016).so yeah a short time ago buy the ps3.
