PS3 Component Help?

I have my ps3 hooked up to my tv. It's resolution is set to 1080i which my tv can knob. The menu (XMB) has lines going across it, but the schoolbook looks crisp and clear. I am not using the sony component cables.

Answers:    Ok... I'm not really sure what your request for information is, but I'll try to answer it the best I can.

I had my PS3 hooked up via component cable to my 1080i TV myself and I never saw the lines your talking going on for... and NO, I didn't have the "official" SONY component cable either.

It can be a couple of different things:

Either your component cable are damaged or there's something funny going on next to your "current" display settings.

To check the display settings go to the MAIN MENU > SETTINGS > DISPLAY SETTINGS and sort sure you have the correct resolution checked sour which in your shield, it should be 1080i and UNCHECK any other resolution.

HOPE THIS HELPS!
