Just connected ps3 to internet.while playing resistance;trip up of man or ring up of duty 4 online?

are there any sub charges for playing online next to up to 40 other players. i don't know but my son seems to have a sneaking suspicion that there are but i haven't have to give out any credit details
please advocate....thanx
