Answers: There are three ways. You can move about to a retailer and buy Live cards. They come for different time spans as 3 months, 6 months and 12 month prepaid cards (with the release of Halo 3 some 12 month cards will give you one spare month free).
You enter the number code into the Xbox on the Marketplace blade and get Xbox Live gold ingots for the amount of time you bought.
The second way is by entering your credit card number surrounded by the console and buy it online through the account menu on the Xbox.
